Designed by the delightfully eccentric Stavros Melissinos, this was less a business card and more a complete sandal catalogue—with the address, the sales pitch, and, of course, the Poet Sandal Maker himself smiling proudly from the centre. Stavros never believed in doing anything discreetly; even his business card needed enough space for twenty sandals and one poet.

In his old workshop, surrounded by leather, tools, and rows of sandals, Stavros Melissinos prepares a pair of his unique, all-leather ancient Greek-style sandals for a Greek-American visitor, who had been entrusted with bringing them back to the United States for his daughter.
These sandals were all the rage during the hippie generation and were worn by celebrated rock stars—including the Beatles, who owned sandals made by Stavros Melissinos.
